Notorious American conservative, Ben Shapiro, has said on numerous occasions, that anyone can be successful in America if you do three things: Graduate high school, don’t have a baby out of wedlock, and get a job. Statistics seem to back up Mr. Shapiro’s statement. Yet, the left will have you believing that anyone who isn’t successful in the United States, is only that way because of oppression, rather than their personal choices. They attribute very little value to personal responsibility and believe that the discrepancies in outcomes are caused by theft, luck, or society as a whole. They believe that most actions that, have no bearing on whether an individual is successful or not. Going even further, not only does the left try to delink the causation of poor behaviors that lead to failure, they actually promote the bad behaviors over the good ones.

Single motherhood is a perfect example. The left constantly promotes and subsidizes single motherhood. They believe that single mothers are just as good or even better than having a two-parent household. However, statistics show that the greatest common denominator to people who end up poor or in prison is single motherhood. Children growing up with single mothers make up 70% of gang members, high school drop outs, teen suicides, teen pregnancies, and teen substance abusers. They are also 5 times more likely to be imprisoned than children who grew up with two parents.

This isn’t the only bad behavior the left pushes. The progressive culture constantly promotes immoral behaviors such as teen sex over abstinence, living for now and not worrying about the future, taking many sexual partners, engaging in debaucherous behavior, and doing whatever makes you happy and feel good while not worrying about the consequences. Also, they believe in moral relativism and that there are no systems or behaviors that are better. This is how they are able to believe that Saudia Arabia and the United States are on the same moral playing field.

So why? Why does it appear that everything the left values, leads to such awful consequences? Why is it that the statistical consequences are always negative, when observing a large group of people that engaged in one of the promoted leftist behaviors? Here are the answers I came up with.

The left’s ultimate goal is and has always been, to have the United States live under Marxist/progressive rule. In order to convince people to want to change their countries principles, they need the current principles, already in place, to fail. They need their followers to believe that a moral, free, and capitalistic can’t work and that they need something new. If people follow the left, they will most likely become poor losers. These losers will demand change because they will attribute their shortcomings to the current society, as oppose to their own actions.

Following the same thought process, I believe that the left tells people that it’s not their own choices that lead to outcomes but a matter of chance. If people believe that their failures are just because they were unlucky, then they will want government that re-distributes the income to make life fair. The left makes people feel helpless and that there is some evil greedy white capitalist out there that prevent them from succeeding. Therefore, they will applaud any entity that will help them escape this poverty.

Finally, and most importantly, it is much easier to take over and control a population if you take away their ability to critically think and their sense of self, which is exactly what following the left does.

Think about it. If you don’t live by any personal code of ethics and don’t really have any sense of self-worth, your identity will become completely tied up with being a progressive. This is because when you have no code of your own, then the leftist principles are your only principles. It’s also why democrats take such a harsh stance on Christianity. Because religion could be another place that you get your moral code from and therefore you might no longer need to be as tied up in the marxist ideals.

You won’t want realize that you’re being duped, because the leftist doctrine takes away your ability to critically think. When they tell you that your feelings are most important aspect in decision making, you aren’t going to be able to look at the facts and make an educated decision. It also makes it easier for them to convince you of outrageous claims that aren’t believable, because they are able to rile up your emotions.

To all you leftist out there, please tell me what leftist ideals that are promoted actually lead to better outcomes? Which policies and principles that leftist conjure up, actually tend to leave most people in a better place?

There are very few, if any. Which makes the question you should ask yourself, “why would I listen to someone who is always wrong? Or, “Why would I engage in activities that will make my life harder?” And finally, “why do progressives promote something like that, if it’s clearly going to make people fail?”
